Institute for Applied Health Sciences
The Institute for Applied Health Sciences (IAHS) is a four-storey facility that is a unique partnership between of two healthcare educators, McMaster University and Mohawk College.
Located within the main McMaster Campus at 1280 Main Street West, it is home to full-time and part-time students from both Mohawk College and McMaster University.
IAHS houses McMaster University’s School of Rehabilitation Science, which offers master’s degree programs in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Science, and Speech Language Pathology and conducts research to advance knowledge in the rehabilitation field.
The building hosts 35 classrooms and tutorial rooms, an amphitheatre, and state-of-the-art laboratories.
Program Office
The McMaster University Physiotherapy Program office is located in room 406 in the Institute for Applied Health Sciences building on the main campus at 1400 Main Street West in Hamilton, Ontario. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Anatomy Lab
Throughout the program, physiotherapy students take part in Clinical Lab (CL) courses which include sessions on human anatomy. Students have classes in the anatomy lab in the Hamilton Health Sciences building on the main campus. More information can be found on the anatomy lab website.
Centre for Simulation Based Learning
The Physiotherapy Program utilizes this unique and interactive space to practice skills and facilitate hands-on skills evaluations. To learn more about this space, visit the Centre for Simulation Based Learning website.
